The TCK Foundation was founded in 2004 in humble surroundings, a disused shop premises along the railway line on the dark side of Pattaya.
Now in modern premises, it boasts excellent accommodation and teaching and care facilities.
It’s founder, an Italian chap, Gio, has achieved miracles, providing a safe haven to protect children, and in certain cases, single mothers with children, from violence and various forms of severe abuse (sexual, psychological etc.), torture and/or the victims of human trafficking .
Many children are referred by local authorities, police or other foundations. Sometimes mothers are admitted with children if they too need a safe shelter.
Their case studies are harrowing and are too distressing to mention here.
TCK helps to enrol the children into schools and finds work for mothers who do not have a job.
“An abused child puts on their first school uniform and their life is changed. A single mother gets a good job with health benefits and her whole family’s lives are changed. Sometimes all they need is hope and a new direction”.
The TCK Foundation was introduced to us by Debby and David at Nicky’s Bar and Restaurant on Soi Buchaow, Pattaya who invited us to a beach party in Jomtien many years back in 2019
We make annual donations each Christmas which, we all hope, will continue indefinitely.
